Who is Caliber For?
Caliber was built as a scalable solution for property management companies and self-managed HOAs of all sizes

What is Scalability?
Scalability is the ability of a software application to deliver the same level of performance and responsiveness regardless of whether there are 10 records in the database or a million.  There are a number of things that affect scalability, including hardware and networking architecture.  But in the end, if the software isn't scalable, no amount of hardware or networking efforts are going to help.

Software scalability comes down to how well the software and database structure are designed.  Building for scalability is difficult, but testing the scalability of a software product is simple.  Load it up with lots of data and then see if it behaves the same way as when there was very little data.  So imagine if you're a small management company with lots of ambition.  As you grow from 1000 doors to 20,000 does your software start bogging down?  If so, the software you're using isn't truly scalable, and thus you're forced to look for other solutions and spend another big chunk of money on a new software product.

Development and testing of Caliber was done using data for nearly 100,000 homes across 350 associations.  We made sure Caliber was able to deliver high performance and reliability at the high end.

Our Philosophy...
At Reef Point, we believe management companies shouldn't outgrow their technology.  If done right, the technology should help management companies grow.  We also believe smaller companies shouldn't be forced to use products with lesser features just because they're small.  Aren't all management companies trying to do the same thing and provide the same services, just on a smaller scale?
